NHS walk-in centres (WICs) offer convenient access to a range of treatments. WICs are managed by Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), dealing with minor illnesses and injuries. If your injury is not serious, you can get help from a minor injuries unit (MIU) or urgent care centre (UCC)
These include:
infections and rashes
blood pressure checks
fractures and lacerations
emergency contraception and advice
stomach aches
vomiting and diarrhoea
hay fever
insect and animal bites
stitches (sutures)
dressing care
minor cuts and bruises
minor burns and strains
stop smoking support
